If Santa were stuck in my chimney…..
I would use the phone and call the fire department to get him out.

Cameron used visual and verbal models also hand over hand with staff.

Qsoooiioooldiers  (soldiers-hoh)

Cameron was asked to write about why Remembrance Day is important.  A page of graphics was provided for some choices.  Cameron pointed to the picture of the soldiers.  He was provided a visual with the word soldiers on it to use when typing the word in his blog.  He worked  one on one with an E.A.  He typed his word using Hand Over Hand (hoh) assistance.

I did 3 pumpkins.

Cameron used his device to tell the E.A about his pumpkin drawing.  He found his number and letter page independently and had hand over hand support for the words in the sentence.

October 18th,

We should have a Fall Dance Party because…..
“We can wear costumes and be silly.”

Cameron used graphics to choose why he wanted to have a dance party. His sentence was typed for him.

I am thankful for my friends Lily, Kiki, Meghan, Dorian, Jordan, Abbigail, Katie and Josie.  Taking the bus and playing with bubbles with grandpa Jules makes me very happy!  I am also happy for the times I get to go shopping and swimming.  I love pancakes, grill cheese, keilbasa and pizza.  I am also very thankful when I get to get out of my chair and sit on the floor where I can scoot around by myself.

Cameron wrote this with the help of an educational assistant and his I Pad device.  The bolded words are the words Cameron activated on his device.  The E.A created the sentence and read the information back to Cameron and he indicated whether he liked the sentence or not by shaking his head yes or no when asked, “is this what you wanted to say?”

Hello, my name is Cameron. I like to play outside with my class. We play with bubbles and balls.

Cameron used his AAC to chose what he wanted to say. He was excited to write his first post of the year. Cameron’s writing was typed for him.
